Your infant & newborn’s skin is soft, sweet, and undamaged by the sun. When you go out, it’s just as important to have a safe sunscreen in your diaper bag as making sure you’ve got diapers!

It was difficult to find a 100% safe sunscreen in mass-market stores. We did, however, locate the Earth’s Best Jason’s Sun Block at Wal-Mart.

The products we’re recommending below are zinc oxide-based or Titanium Dioxide-based. And none of these products contain the harmful chemical used in other sunscreens, OXYBENZONE (BENZOPHENONE-3).

One thing that you will find out—besides how hard it is to apply sunscreen to a fussy and active infant & newborn or toddler!—is that most of the natural brands take a little more effort to rub into the skin. 

The natural product companies charge a premium for the sun block; Aubrey Organics offers the best prices of the non-mass-market brands.

Once again, we reviewed all of the mass-market sunscreens and sun blocks to find the very best. Please note, however, that the last product on our list, Banana Boat Infant & newborn Tear Free UVA & UVB Sunblock, does contain parabens. These may cause allergic skin reactions. This still is the best mass-market products available for infant & newborn sunblock.
